Pirouette Pink Birthday Wish

This is for Tuesday's Splitcoast Color Challenge; Basic Black, Whisper White and Pink Pirouette for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. After hunting for inspiration for a card design, I settled on Sketch Challenge 55. The front of the card was punched with the 1 1/4" circle punch. To make the black scallop "frame'" you actually start out with another 1 1/4" punch in black paper. The scallop punch is then turned around so you can see what you are punching. You center the punched circle in the middle and punch. Voila! A perfectly sized frame. Then the Scallop frame was dotted with White Signo Pen. Inside the card is a little Happy Birthday sentiment from the "Think Happy Thoughts" stamp set. The center of this stamp is open so you can finish it in many different ways. I used the BoHo Blossoms punch and punched flowers in black and pink pirouette then layered them with a little dimensional between so they would pop up. The white circle the sentiment is on was just a bit bigger than the hole on the front and made with the 1 3/8" Circle punch. The swirl design was made using the So Swirly Wheel and White Stazon Ink then embossed with white embossing powder and shadowed with a VersaMarker. Next time I will use Versamark ink and white embossing powder. Dots on the black ribbon were painted on so it would match the dots on the scallop frame.
