Fall Swap Waterfall Card

This card is for the SplitcoastStampers Fall Swap found here. I decided to stick to the traditional Fall colors; brown, orange, yellow and cream and Fall images like trees and leaves. Isn't that little acorn the cutest?! It is from the set "Fantastic Foliage" (retired). After stamping the acorn I used Close to Cocoa and Chocolate Chip markers to color it in then Crystal Effects to make a little acrylic type bubble over it. The cardstock colors I used are Pumpkin Pie for base, Chocolate Chip for pull tab and waterfall blocks and Very Vanilla for background piece and waterfall squares. I wanted the card to feel rustic so I did a lot of tearing and chalking to make the Very Vanilla card stock look like parchment paper. The 4 waterfall images are from the "Garden Blocks" (retired) set. The sentiment stamped on the pull down waterfall piece is from the stamp set  "Thoroughly Thankful", (current). All paper, stamp sets and markers are from Stampin' Up. Retired sets can often be found on E-bay. It's easier than ever to order from Stampin' up now that you can shop online any time of the day or night simply by clicking here. You can browse the catalogue, do specific searches for items, pay with a credit or debit card and have the items sent directly to your home.

The multi-colored images were easier to do than they look. The stamp pad I used was Kaleidacolor Cappuccino Delight. You can use the ink pad with the color strips pulled apart for individual color or a striped effect or pushed together for blending (just remember to pull the colors apart before storing or they bleed into one another...learned that the hard way from wrecking one). If you'd like to see directions to make your own Waterfall Card, you can go here. I always learn something new from participating in a swap. Try finding one that sounds like you over at the Swaps Forum. It's a lot of fun!
